I don't understand why MILs need to say something "negative" about DR and discourage their kids while they(the kids) are actually trying to take the control of their lives. We are taking FPU classes and my wife's mom makes the comment "You know, he is talking like this but he is making tons of money off of his books and the classes you all are taking"
I don't care who makes money by "giving me his/her opinion" as long as they direct me to the right direction!!

He makes a lot of money, but he also gives away a lot. Not just his contribution to his church, but he also gives money and products away for free. I seriously wonder how he stays in business with all the books and FPU he gives away on his show every day. LOL!

There will always be nay-sayers. Whenever I hear them, I just remember what Dave says -- Live like no one else so you can live like no one else.

I've taken to listening to the show on fridays and downloading hulu of friday's.. I just like the 'I'm Debt Free' Screams.

I LOVE watching/listening to his Friday shows for that very reason. It's SO inspiring to hear those people scream they are debt free. It certainly helps me to stay on the frugal path.
