Re: the "Debt Reduction Total" thread
Over in the Debt Reduction Total thread, those of us who have posted during this calendar year have reached a landmark total of $500,000 debt paid since January 1. It is an incredible accomplishment, and we're all hoping we can make it to $750,000 by the end of the year. I know there are a lot of people on the forum who are paying off debt and haven't posted, and quite a few who just haven't posted in awhile. If thats you, please take a minute to add up how much you've paid off since the beginning of the year and post it in the Debt Reduction Total thread, and keep posting as you make each payment through the end of the year. Wouldn't it be incredible to know that Frugal Villagers have paid off $750,000 in one year?? Heck, maybe we can even hit $1M this year!

I'll second that...it would only take a few minutes a week to help this thread out. The goal is entirely possible with some help from some other posters. Have you paid $100 on a medical bill? Maybe just $20. Made a car payment? Mortgage ? Please help out to reach the new goal of $750,000.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

I'll go for the fear incentive:
Post your totals, or I will come to your house, eat your food, drink your beer, and leave the seat up.
You have been warned.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

You don't skeer me; while you have your feet up on the coffee table, chomping and sloshing away, I'll be sneaking off out the door and leaving you with a 2.5yo and 5yo (and we don't have cable BTW). T'ain't enough libation in this here house to numb that pain away.

But I'll go lookup some totals and come back anyway.

I LOVE small children. Just ask Ceashels - they're DELICIOUS!!!
Seriously - I'm the favorite uncle who gets them all riled up and then goes home, leaving them with the parents. Kids love me. Parent's fear me.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
