Has anyone joined My TMMO?
I'm thinking about joining My TMMO. I did the free trial last year but unfortunately with school and working I didn't get much time to check it out. I'm looking for opinions to see if it is worth to join. I'm having a hard time with spending the $90 since I'm really focused on paying off my student loans. I'm looking at it as money that could go towards that. I appreciate any opinions! TIA

I'm a member. TMMO has a free trial period, IIRC, that you could use to check out the site.
Frankly, however, while the tools are ok, they're not anything spectacular. The main value to the site is the forum IMO, and there isn't any information you can get there that you can't get elsewhere for free.
So if money is a concern, I'd say don't worry about it until your snowball is a bit bigger and can absorb the expense. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I joined a couple of years ago. I visit the forums a couple of times of week and get some really good insight from there. My main reason for joining was the 3 hour (commercial free) podcast of his show...I download it daily and listen to it while I do my chores.

Thanks Greebo and DJ1972. I'm really interested in the info and the podcasts. Right now I download every podcast but it's only and hour. I'm just really weird about my money because I'm determined to pay off my student loan in a year.
Thanks for your input!

+1 for the podcasts. I listen to them to/from work each day, keeps me motivated. I've listened to talk radio for years now, and slowly converted my wife as well :-)

The podcasts are why I originally joined, and I listen to them every day.

I did the trial but honestly I don't really see it being a necessity. I use quicken for budgeting along with writing it out by hand (I remember it better that way).
I come here for questions and generally the people are pretty helpful. As far as podcasts go, I just go to his website and pull from the archives and listen on my computer. I use a laptop so I'll just put it nearby while I do chores.

Story of my life. In 2007 we had 78000 worth of debt, and we climbed out under it, on top of paying for a surgery with cash, bought a house, had a foundation shift and $11000 in repairs later we are good to go.. then I hear the words "I'm pregnant!"

I've been a member for about 3 months. I have a hard time staying motivated, so the forums are extremely valuable to me. I do check in virtually every day.
