Default SO Proud of My Best Friend!

She has never been one to take control of her money, make a budget, etc. Over the years (38 to be exact), I have tried various things to point her in the right direction. But I knew deep down inside, they she had to want it for herself.

Over the last couple of years I have just mentioned in passing - working on paying off ALL debt, all credit cards paid off now, 8 years knocked off of 30 year mortgage in 2 years, stockpiling, grocery salvage, cooking from scratch, etc. I recently sent her the link to Dave Ramsey's website.

She and her husband went to Dave Ramsey University! They made a budget! They cut up ALL their credit cards!

They have a TON of debt, but they also make a TON of money. So we shall see if they stick with it. I am praying hard for them.

I know you must have wanted this alot for your best
friend. What you did was perfect, just mentioning
things in passing without pushing her.

It sounds like you sent the Dave Ramsey link at just
    the right time!

She is lucky to have a friend like you and I know you
have to be feeling good too that her and her DH are
taking steps to get control of their lives. Cutting
up their credit cards was a huge beginning!

Best of luck to your friend on her financial journey!
You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.
