    Default Home Evaluation Questionaire

Hi I recieved this form in the mail from my insurance company asking me to answer some questions about the house. It talks about making sure that the coverage is correct and maybe increasing the amount of coverage if needed has anyone dealt with this before? Should I fill it out and send it back? I am sure that it is from my insurance company.

I would call my agent and ask what is is for, first. It's either a form they need to make sure you have appropriate coverage -- in which case they should be out at your house looking themselves -- or they are fishing to sell you "upgraded" insurance.

    Ask them.

I have gotten them in past years for/from my home owners policy but it was always when the homes were appreciating. Unless you are in an area where homes have increased in value (is there such a thing now?) I can't imagine why they sent it.

Maybe they are just wondering if you have put extra buildings or etc. on the property that need to be covered.

Personally, I think they are trying to get you to upgrade your insurance, like someone mentioned previously. If they really want to know something, they'll call. Maybe just save it for a few weeks, or call if you're really curious. Or toss it and let them call you later.

I would just pen a short note that says, "My house is the same size, in the same location, and in the same condition as it was when we first established this policy."

    But I'm PA like that.

    Exactly...maybe even the same color.
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
