That would be inconsistent with my recollection concerning his position on the subject with other people in similar situations.

Your situation is ... unusual. I think you should call his show.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

    Here's a link I found:

    Stafford Loan Forgiveness < Repayment | StaffordLoan.com

Especially near the bottom of the page, with the heading "Circumstances and Conditions for Loan Forgiveness." It does say that if you die while still indebted, it can be forgiven, either partially or totally.

Yeah, I'm weird. Faces come out of the rain and the whole nine ... LOL

If I get out of work Friday while he's on, I'll pull over and try.

Thanks for reminding me about the volunteering - need to get back to the Habitat build. Maybe it'll cover a quarter of my interest accrual by the time I hit 1,700 hours.
