    Default Legacy drawers

What should I put in it?

Will, life ins. info, hospital ins info, 401k info (only current statement?), title to auto, list of debtors and amounts owed (update qrt?), ss cards, birth certificates, what else?

    TIA.

i use a fireproof safe with a handle and its right by the front door in case i have to grab it and run.
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I don't have a fire proof box yet but it is on the list.

Does my list look complete or is there something I am forgetting?

I'd be nervous about a burglary putting all that ID info all in one convenient to trot off with container. Would it work to scan the documents, encrypt the file and store on physical media in a secure off-site location and then keep the fire safe with original documents somewhere at least concealed in the house?

Well, the idea is to make it easier for family to get to and understand in case of an emergency or death. I personally was thinking under my bed or the top of my closet. It would have to be where my 16yos could access it and understand it.

Everything your family will need if you die.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

It'll be hard for me to put my death certificate in there but I can try.

No seriously, my oldest sister had to go court to handled things when my uncle died and she and my mom handled things when my dad died. All I did was pick up the death certificates. So, I have no idea what is needed. I want it where my 16yos can understand it because I don't want him to go through what my sis did.
