If you like, sure.
The budget is about assigning a purpose to every dollar coming in. Money you already have is already here.
Don't fall into the trap of thinking that your budget balance has to equal your bank account balance. Zero based budgeting means you ASSIGN A PURPOSE to each new dollar you get - not that you empty your bank account of all the money you have.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I wanted to share a frustration about the FPU class. The class moderator is a pastor at the church, and it is becoming obvious that he is not teaching the program the way DR intended.
He uses himself and his family as an example in his discussions and tells us that he is not cutting up his credit cards, wants them for points, and to maintain his FICO - and thinks this is okay because he pays them off every month. This talk infuriates me, as i think he is doing those in his class a disservice. These people paid $100 to learn DR's program - and they are there because they have money/ debt problems, and talking about keeping credit cards, and the importance of still playing the "fico game" does not belong in this class!! Should I say something to him?
I know cutting up your cards for good is one of the hardest thing for people to grasp - and Dave DOES say that you should care about your credit (correcting inaccuracies, etc). so maybe i'm overreacting... I don't know.BS1: $1000/$1000

The job of the facilitator is to encourage discussion. Is the pastor taking up more than 10% of the talking time? If so, he's talking too much.

No, not really... but it doesn't seem like he leaves very much time for talking. How much time is he supposed to give?

He's supposed to ask questions and inspire discussion and let Dave be the teacher.
If that's not happening - if he's contradicting Dave, then he should at least make it very clear that he's disagreeing with Dave, and if he doesn't, feel free to do it for him.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
