    Question Debt or retirement?

My work will let me count 10 years of previous employment towards a pension if I pay in $10K. My question is do I count this as a debt in BS 2, or consider it part of BS 4? It's definitely worth it from an NPV standpoint so it's not an issue of if, but when.

I'm eager to get out of BS 2 to get back to saving (retirement, and have a 13 & 10 year old to think about college for). Any thoughts? Thanks and Happy Holidays!!

Personally, I think I would count it as part of Step 4. It's not a debt and you don't have to do it (but I understand the desire!).
Debt is a four letter word!

It's not debt, so its BS4.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
