Where did Dave Ramsey go??
I listen to Dave Ramsey every day on the way home from work. The past week or so, he wasn't on so I thought maybe he is on vacation... But Friday I heard the radio station announce The Russ Humphrey show at 3-6 on WGST. That was Dave's spot! I am really bummed because my hour long commute now is not insightful or enjoyable as it was before.

you can listen on line. in my city he switched stations.
houston 700 am11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
credit card debt 7500
mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
then live on the rest!
i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

I used to watch him on tv, but I can't find his show either. Wonder why all the changes?

Go to his website and see if you can't find an alternate station in your area. You may have to download podcasts and listen to those on your commute. A day late but still getting the information.

I noticed it too! Very frustrating. I emailed WGST and here were a few choice quotes:
"Maybe people want to be entertained with something other than personal finance."
"A poor choice would have been to keep a show with low ratings on the air. Dave Ramsey had low ratings, in case you were wondering."
Guess it's more important to keep some hot air balloon like Rusty Humphries on the air instead of someone who's actually helping people. Very disappointing.

In their defense, they're not running a charity and I think Dave would agree.
It's a shame though. It's weird that his show gets low ratings and that email was a little snotty. Perhaps they should just go with a general "In order to better meet the needs of our audience..." Their response was kind of out there.~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~

The radio station is no doubt feeling a bit defensive.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
