Default Living life the Dave Ramsey way means...

... being able to afford to wait for the IRS to be able to process your tax refund because you itemize and congress took too long to pass the tax laws last year. Thanks, DR!

If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Living the Dave Ramsey life means...

Making the mental switch from wondering if I can afford the payments...to making a goal to save up the total cost.

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

Not fretting over car repairs, furnace repairs, etc. . . because the money is in the EF. . .

Also means I'm not fretting over several large bills coming due at the same time (from one paycheck) because I planned ahead and took small amounts out over many checks to cover it.

. . . knowing that Christmas comes in December every single year and planning accordingly to stick to a budget and pay in cash. Thank you again, Mr. Ramsey.
