I have to ask, what kind of a job can you get with a Comparative Religion degree? I never heard of that.

I'm not sure what else to say that hasn't been said, but I'm curious if your husband is aware of how difficult your situation is? I don't see how you're going to crawl out of this mess without the two of you working together as a team. If you guys insist on keeping everything separate, maybe he would be willing to pick up the tab on some of the bills for a little while until you catch up with some things?
