    Default Dave Ramsey Classes?

    Military classes, specifically. There's none up here. I've emailed them about possibly getting one up here and they didn't get back to me. =/

    Does anyone know how you set something like this up? What kind of cost would be involved?

    There's a lot of talk around here about getting finances in order and I was hoping to lobby for a class up here but I'd like to get some information first and I thought you guys would know.

    Have you looked at local churches? You can buy the course for around $300 and start your own - I've done that in my living room with a group of friends.

    I was hoping for a larger group, specifically, our command. I'm really not qualified to lead it. I figured they had people that did it? Do you have to buy separate kits for everyone?

    Everyone buys there own kits - and all the lessons are on video. All you do is ask the discussion questions really. You can even take turns on 'leading'.

    The $300 is for the videos and one member kit if I recall. The rest pay only about $100 - and a married couple only purchases one membership.

    Go Nishu! I just got one for here. I went through our Chapel since that's where I took it in NY. We start on the 28th and are just having everyone buy their own kit online. The Chapel is paying for the DVD kit and childcare. Good luck!

    Seriously, Nishu - the only qualification you need to "lead" a DR FPU is the ability to push play on a DVD player and then ask questions after.

    The facilitator's job is NOT to be the expert or to do all the talking - it is expressly their job to get the OTHERS talking and let DR be the expert.
    If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

    Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
