Has anyone tried the "e-meals" that's advertised on Ramsey radio?
I keep hearing about "e-meals" for $5 a month. Has anyone tried it? What does it do? With my limited time between jobs I was wondering if it would help me out with menu planning and saving money. Right now I'm on a "what's quick?" plan which isn't always very healthy. Lots of pasta, or already prepared snacks/meals.
I did a search and didn't find a thread on this already but if I missed it, please linky me. Thanks!LDR

I got a free trial of a similar site and ended up not using it much. It's a good tool, though!
Try this one:
The Diabetic Skillet
It's free, the meals are healthy and easy, and did I mention it's free?

I have been tempted to try it. They have an Aldi plan. I thought about just giving it a two month run and repeating. We get in a rut but I haven't brought myself to spend the $$$ for what I can do myself.

Whether you fix semolina pasta or whole wheat, here's a link to various pasta sauces, and pasta comes in all shapes and sizes. Maybe bow ties or ziti or wagon wheels for a change?

I have heard good things about the emeals from a lady at church (we were in Financial Peace this past March). She really loves it and said it's cut her grocery bill down.
I haven't tried it yet, but will look at these other links you all posted.

I haven't signed up yet but I checked out their sample menu. I noticed there were quite a few things that they expect you to already have on hand that they consider staples. Um, those staples ARE my meals, dear.
I found a "Blooming Coupons" coupon site that tells me the deals going on for that week and what sales I can mix & match with coupons in the paper, etc. It is pretty interesting, I might get into using that.
Don't know if you guys have this for your area but wanted to share: Bloomin' Coupons
I just chose the King Soopers one because that's where I get my groceries.
I do need to make a meal plan, ugh. I tend to just buy a bunch of stuff and try to make it work.LDR

I signed up for e-meals a year or two ago. What you get is a menu plan, recipe instructions & grocery list for a family of 4-5. You can choose between specialty menues, like low carb, gluten free, or a portion control plan. They carry meal plans for WalMart, Aldi, Publix and a general (any store). With the Publix plan, they try to match coupons to the sales of that week.
I didn't do much with the plans because it was too much food for me--but my daughter really liked them. I don't remember the targeted cost per week of the items for the meals now.
The plans for two persons are around $35-45 per week. the low carb is a little higher at $40-50 per week. I have actually been thinking of re subscribing and going with the Menu for two option. I can't seem to get my grocery costs down and thought that this may help.
When you subscribe, you are charged $15 for three months which is enough to give it a try. Just cancel before the three months are over as your debit/credit card is charged automatically.
On the plans I have printed out, the "staples" are usually items I do have already. Things like seasonings, flour, milk, vinegar, cooking spray, etc.
Hope this helps.
