I know what you're saying, stinkbug, my stuff was all horse-related and each item was individually listed and posted in the "farm items" for sale (not cross-categorical like some farm, then house stuff, or perhaps health&beauty, etc.). I find it is absolutely imperative to have a place to put additional pictures when dealing with big ticket items like saddles and horse trailers and such so I used photobucket to properly represent the items so people weren't traveling 100 miles if it wasn't what they were looking to buy. I had hundreds of emails so sending everyone pics would have been ridiculous, so many were being returned "undeliverable" because of the detailed photos, so I opted to place more photos online and photobucket is the way to go IMHO. I responded to everyone with a photobucket link via email or if they called, I let them know they could go and look at the photobucket pics.
Good luck with your listings, mateos! Listing all the items took a LOT of time in my case but I literally sold over $8000 worth of stuff. Was worth it to me.

I agree CL is hit or miss, ya just gotta keep at it! Sometimes I will list an item over and over and then all of a sudden one or two people want it! It can be annoying though, but at least their new format makes relisting super easy!

We sold a riding mower on CL, but mostly we stick to having yard sales.
In addition to having a yard sale, at work we have an internal website and there is a forum that we can use for selling stuff. I was able to sell some larger items (buffet, stain glass window, secretary) all for much better prices than the yard sale would have brought (but still way under what the antique stores would price these items for). All the items sold within a week or so.
So for those of you who work at big companies or agencies try posting your stuff at work.

I have had good luck with craigslist.
I use it for the bigger items that would be hard to ship.
Yesterday I sold 4 metal gates. I had picked them up this spring when I bought the 6 by 6 ft, kennel sections for the chickens. These gates were older, smaller size and really heavy. I gave $ 10 each for them. I sold 3 for $ 15 each and 1 for $ 20. So I made a profit of $ 25. Lady wanted them for her sheep and goats pastures. She was thrilled to find them, and I was happy for her

Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.

I just relisted a couple items. I found the key is to make an account and post that way. You can repost as needed. I will at most repost 3 to 4 days after the initial post.
We are about to post our biggest sale ever...a car. I can't wait (NOT) for the fantastic responses we will get, but hopefully one will be legit and the sale will go smoothly.Working on Our Debt a Day at a Time:
