This is the first I'm seeing this. It sounds like my philosophy on life. Only God can fix the mess that my family is in, no one else. Sounds like how we deal with money and our blessings, paying it forward, etc.
I guess this is a new church Sunday school series for adults?~~~

It is more of a movement for churches as well as individuals. Basically doing your finances God's way. Did you watch the video? If churches want to do a series or class, they would still use FPU. You can sign up individually to join the movement.

No, I didn't watch the video. It didn't tell me how long it was and I've got a seriously short attention span today.
I wonder what God's way is? I remember learning about homemaking and finances God's way while teaching homeschool. It was a course written with a Mennonite view point. I found it extremely interesting. The basic idea was no debt, period. No car, no house, no swimming pool unless you pay cash. No business loans, all cash. No merchandise on credit. Cash for everything. All money used wisely, no foolish spending. Savings, investments, helping your fellow man, tithing charity. Etc.~~~

The video is 50 min. Basically he gives bible verses on saving, debt, giving, etc. He believes that if everyone did this, the economy would recover and more people would come to Christ.
I would recommend watching it, even if you can only handle a few minutes at a time. I paused it probably 30 times to care for kids, make lunch, do chores. I even rewatched several portions. The opening is pretty powerful.Baby Step 1: $1000/$1000 DONE!

This has been around for awhile. I think we already have a thread on it.
