Help with my dilemma
i am torn between saving for my house fund and my holiday money fund i cant save much each payday but i cant decide weather to work on one for bit then the other or just go halfs on everything. i do however have a £50 automatic payment set up each payday for my house fund but i do like to add to it.
i dont get much left over after bills/debits so i can only nomally get about £100 left to save . i just dont know where to start, anyone with ideas?
im also due about £200 off ebay soon in the next few weeks - where the heck do i put that? i have to many things lolKelly & DH Alex ♥

What will do you the most good in the long run? Having your own house or going on holiday? I'd put any extra funds towards the house fund if it were me.

I say put more towards the house fund, the more you put ON the house the more of a down payment you have, the less you pay each month OR time of the loan can be cut down considerably.
If you can, put 75 to the house fund and 25 to your vacation/holiday fund until you feel your holiday fund is good enough, then put the 25 back to the house fund.

I'd do $75 towards the house and $25 towards the holiday ... you can always adjust to your holiday to a "lesser" one ... the house would be my priority imo

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I agree to put more toward the house fund. You can always cut expenses while on your trip by doing only a few really special things and taking advantage of food specials. Like lunch is usually cheaper so eat big then and skimp at dinner.
Also I would love to visit Egypt someday for the archaeological sites. I plan on visiting the Egyptian exhibit in Atlanta this fall. Guess that will have to do.
Enjoy your trip!
