2 more debts paid off ! whoo hoo!

Today I went to the bank and made a check out to pay off my auto loan ( a year early) AND then just issued a payment to pay off the blasted credit card bill! Over $6,000 in debt knocked out!
That just leaves the mortgage! And I am determined to keep it that way!
As I posted previously, I was recently laid off from my high paying job. I was able to find another job a couple of months ago, making less then 1/2 of my former salary but....it's a job and it pays the bills ( almost!)
I did get a severance package and am saving some of that $$ and then using some $ to get rid of my stupid debt. And I consider my credit card debt to be stupid!
What a nice feeling. Thanks to this place, and being more disciplined, for the past year I have been able to use the credit card responsibly, for convenience mainly, and pay it off weekly.
I am now concerned about the price of heating oil and gas eating up my savings, but that is for another thread!!
This is the first time in 10 years, at least, I can say I have no credit card debt!"The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser - in case you thought optimism was dead." ~Robert Brault

Way To Go!!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
