DIRECT TV vs TWC
I have TWC and I am paying through the nose. They have the monoply in my town in NC so the only other option is DirectTV.
I got a really good offer $34.99 for 1st year and $54 in the second. TWC is around $90 a month for BASIC cable. Has anyone had Direct TV? Were they good or is this offer to good to be true? I really want out of TWC but I don't want it to backfire by dropping it only to have to pay re-installation charges again.
Any advice? If there are other alternative to cable --satellite company I am all ears

I switched over to Direct TV last year because it was cheaper than Comcast. Yes it is cheaper and I think it is a good deal. We had the Choice Plus plan until just recently and then we switched down to the Family plan which is $26.99 monthly. I really wish we could buy channels Al la Cart though. There are still alot of channels I don't watch.
I have never had any problem with the reception either.

Have you ordered it yet? When you do, make sure you ask about how they handle the sale price they're advertising. We got a discounted rate on Direct TV, and right now our bundled bill is about $30 more than it should be. Apparently, they weren't giving us a discounted price, but a monthly rebate on the account. We were told that they forgot (or something) to apply the rebate when we first opened the account, so I called, they supposedly applied it again, and we're still getting this crazy bill. I've got to call them tomorrow and see what's up. =/
Anyway, I would just watch your bill closely.~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~

DirectTV or Dish network. Both are similar except for a few different stations.
