OUCH made my budget for fall
I knew it would be tight when school starts so I had been putting off the dirty work and just paying off all I could now while I have extra money..
but I did the deed and made my budget today It is not a pretty picture... we will make it but with only 600 after all bills are paid. and a minimum of 300 of that needs to go toward debt repayment to finish one before its rate goes up.
time to put into practice all I have learned here. This is crunch time. 4 weeks left until income drops dang I hope I pick up new childcare clients fast.
tonight we need to discuss it and decide if we need to pull back on some of the auto savings we have currently
good thing is I have it one paper and I know if we follow the plan we can make it glad I did this before we went and got a cell phone. We have waited this long we can wait longer it is not a needed expense for us.Meg
cc debt free YEAH on to the mortage

Glad to hear you made a budget but sorry it will be a bit tight, I know mine will be too since once school starts DH gets less hours at work, thus less take home pay.... will have to make do that's for sure

I hope your budget works itself out. Ours is really strange because one moment, I have a bunch of leftover cash and the next time, it's really tight because that's when 95% of our bills are due. The budget really helped us out because it showed us how much leftover cash we really had and it's honestly alot more than before we started doing the budget. September is one of our roughest months too and now August is in there because one child starts school in August (around the same time DS #1 has his birthday) and DS #1 starts school in September (around the same time DS #2 has his birthday). We end up paying over 200 dollars for bus fees, school supply fees, etc with just one child. We decided we had to budget in some savings to make sure we had cash to help us with that crunch.

Fall sounds like it is going to be tough for a lot of people. DH's second job will slow way down, but hopefully I will be picking up some more business-the holidays are usually crazy for me. The oil is what is really worrying me. I have been banking an extra $400 a month to try and prepare.

Fall and winter are tight for us as well .. our income goes down a few hundred a month .. will be interesting thats for sure .. esp considering last winter we will still in a financial fiasco .. and this year we are frugal and trying to save
