Thanks Dutch Tulip, it is driving me crazy too.... just last night a wrecked my only pair of black closed in shoes, it is themiddle of winter so I need them for work, My partner said to me you'll have to go and buy yoourself another pair tomorrow in your lunch break, I just said, nope I have a pair of brown ones, I'll just wear my clothes that match those until it is all paid off and then I can get another pair.
For the old me that sort of statement would have never come out of my lips! he was shocked, and probably very pleased.Debt 1 - Paid in Full (originally $750)

well it didn't work out quite the way that I had planned it, forgot that I am hosting my little sisters baby shower this week end so I wasn't able to apply quite as much top my debt as I originally thought I would be able to.
Even so, I have completely paid off the second last one and the last cerdit card is down to $1000 (I had planned that it would be down to $800) which unfortunately means that it won't be gone with this fortnights pay packet and some of it will have to wait until the fortnight after it.
Oh well, I will keep powering on, it will be paid of by the end of this month. It is almost like torture waiting for this to end, might see if I have some things to sell so that I can pay it off before my next pay, that way the last pay this month will be able to to be credited towards savings like I had originally planned.Debt 1 - Paid in Full (originally $750)

Part of all this is that when the unexpected or forgotten( your sisters shower) happens it doesn't send your life crashing and you adapt and carry on without panic and without adding debt.
You can never let life throw you--it happens!
I will be looking to see your debt free post! I am happy for you.The math never lies, budget in INK!

Housing in australia is very expensive, mostly because we are not regionalised like you are there in the States. there are only a handful of major cities so unless you work in a trade or some other industry that doesn't generally find itself working out of a city then you are forced to live close to one of the major cities, and given that everyone else does the smae thing we are all vying for the smae limited supply of housing.
I figure that everyone else has to come up with that money to buy their first house as well and we will definatly be happy to live in something not so flash.
It will be a long hard race but I will get there in the end, it will definately be easier once I have no other edbts to suck up my income!Debt 1 - Paid in Full (originally $750)
