Debit card fees

Be careful with your debit cards. I would hate to be reading posts about somebody here paying a $35 fee. That would suck!

Here's how it works: If you pay with your debit card, some banks will now charge you a fee -- $35 or more -- if you don't have funds in your account at the time you sign for the purchase.

Good to know .. I never use debit unless I know the funds are there ... my transactions usually come out right away too ... weird that there is a delay

It sucks...but it all comes down to that whole 'not spending money you don't have' philosophy.

Thanks for the reminder. We don't have any fees attached with our debit card, thank goodness.
