Getting back with the program.
This summer as most was lean.
Always of the same reasons. 1 - I don't get paid holidays, so be it, we need a break, I worked 60-70 hours weeks since last september a few weeks off is necessary, and 2- There's always a transition in childcare in the summer.
This year I anticipated it and in May I started paying utilities ahead. Most were paid from June-August in May.
I know many would disagree with it, as they are earning interest on my money, however, money has a tendency to erode. THings happen.
But now I have an almost full house again. I'm waiting for confirmation from one more family and I'll be well padded for the year again.
I had more money set aside for my snowball this month, but ds14 dental treatment has $300 that will not be covered, as insurance considers it "aesthetic". Could be worse, plus all of our sports fees are due this month. This should have been better budgeted, but alas I let it slide.
Then September has all our school fees due as well. They can be spread over the 3 months, and that's what I'll do. 3 payments.
The goal is to snowball $1000- 1500 each month. This allows us for spending money, grocerys, all minimums, as well as utilities covered(budgeted at winter prices).
Here's to getting it ALL done in the next 15 months! It's going to be intense.
