don't count your chickens before they hatch
I do family childcare more than half my group turned school age so I have to replace them and the income.... I replaced 2.... well it only lasted 3 weeks and mom decided she could not make enough money to pay for childcare..... yes we told her that it will be good for her and the kids she is going to do childcare... but not for me.
my problem I was doing fine so I spent 200 at Walmart on Clearance items. fantastic deals as our st ore is resetting but I could have lived without it and been that much closer to finished.
and now the eggs are broken and I have no chickens.

When I had my daycare, it seems whenever one left, another one called. Good childcare is hard to find and if you put the word out again, possibly with the parents of the kids you already have, something will come your way. Keep the faith.
As for the WalMart spending spree....we all do silly things like that. Don't sweat it.
Hang in there.

All you can do is sweep away your eggs shells and start anew.
We have all been there and done that in one way or another. The math never lies, budget in INK!

I wish daycare here was like that. You end up putting your child on long waiting lists and sadly, that's the dilemma I'm in with wanting to go back to school in August.

I'm sorry your eggs broke, but you can always hope God blesses you with a new set.

I hope you get some new childcare clients soon. As Cricketlegs said, I think we've all made that mistake before. Things will get better soon.

Take heart, just think of it as a lesson. It doesn't sound like you have bought this stuff and may end up out on the street.
Don't beat yourself up. It happens to the best of us, just this week I payed off all of my debt completely, then I had a car emergency, all EF gone, rest of the money left in my account until next pay day gone and to date $200 on my CC (it is still a week until payday and we need fuel and groceries so that figure will rise).
We all break out eggs every now and then, it's how you use the lessons that count. I for one need to pay back the last of this CC debt and then get the EF so big that it doesn't matter what happens I won't need to use a CC ever again.
You'll get there, were all behind you.Debt 1 - Paid in Full (originally $750)
Debt 2 - Paid in Full (originally $2100)
Debt 3 - Paid in Full (originally $3500)
Debt 4 - Paid in Full (originally $4000)
Debt 5 - Paid in Full (originally $3000)
FFEF - Fully Funded with 6 months of expenses as of July 2009
Next Step - House deposit

I am sure you will get some new children soon. I know here good babysitters are in great demand. Do you have a child in school? If so do you know any of the teachers. If you do, let them know that you are taking new children. My sitter watches several teachers children and several people that work at our hospital. It seems once word gets out that you have to start turning people away. Good luck with you venture, I am sure it will get better for you.
