Default singing~the sun will come out tomorrow...

    er um sorry!

I have decided to look at the BRIGHT side. Yesterday was my downer day, today let us be happy.

I ran all my numbers except my house.

I am coming out at around $31,421.

Is there a bright side you may ask--heck LOOK at them thar whooping numbers!

    Okay

    1. Credit Card--before this months payment clears--$3558.00
    2. my car--before payment clears--$6370.21
    3. Kirby--I don't know my balance at this time but I will find out
    4. My step dds car--$6350 before this months payment clears
    5. DDs student loans-- what I know and an estimate for her last year
    $14,143

I pay around $200 extra on my credit card(about)
    I pay $100 extra on my car(about)
    The kirby is $68 a month. It is a simple 3 year payoff--Oct 2009
Whitneys car--dhs Mom paid cash for it and we pay $150 a month til it is paid--no interest Nanny loan.
dds loans--she has a scholarship so the loans are just the remainders. They are still at 0% as they are active and will be until 2011.

I figured them in the snowball calculator.

I am already paying for EVERYTHING except dds loans. I have a few questions to ask about them from those of you who have/had them.

Right now for the student loans I actually have for dd , they have my payment at $114 a month.

Do you HAVE to pay the $114 when you are still in the grace period before they are due or can you just send them money as you want in the amounts you want?

If I really try I can pay these off some now and maybe even before the interest even kicks in if I only pay $50 a month.

The amount total due is an estimate but the $114 is what I am billed now before the rest of the loan comes in.

So my question is--can I start to pay $50 a month if my bill is $114?

If so, with everything rolling at its current speed and adding $50 I can be debt free in 34 months.

The bright side is this--34 months are going to happen whether I work on my debt actively or not right? Time marches on and I have to go with it so why am I getting so discourged with the speed at which things are happening.

They are getting paid off really fast when you really think about it.

So no more Mrs. grumpy Grumpster.

    I am a Mama on a Mission!

If anyone knows about the student loans let me know please! I can call them but being hearing impaired makes phone business a nightmare.

As far as I know all payments and intrest is defered until graduation. So if you have an extra $50.00 a month to send in you can. At least that is how I understand it.

I would suggest calling the Financial Aid office at your daughters school and speak to someone. They might not tell you her balances and such because of ther PERPA Laws, but they will be able to answer a general question about paying on defered loans. HTH

    Good news!

I forgot we got dhs Mom a Wii and she said to knock $300 of step dds car which means on the 16th of this month my debt will be $450 less on her car or $5900!

Duh how could I forget that--I must edit my debt column now!

I have repayment of dds loans all set up online and it gives me a detail list of her loan amounts, the dates, the amounts of the payments etc so that helps.
