It is not much but.....savings
I finally got off my rearend and canceled pay AOL for free AOL(I keep it for my quilt chat and to keep up with a nice lady I met there many years ago) and saved $15 a month that way and this morning I wrote down the info for 3 dtv recievers that aren't being used(2 were costing me every month) and called them and deactivated them. $10 a month savings. They also said I will have a CREDIT on my next bill--unexpected but nice!

So I shaved $25 off my monthly bills. It all counts and we really were just throwing the money out the window.
I don't hear well and it is HARD for me to do business by phone but I did it and I am glad. Now to just get that $5 road side assistance off dds cell phone.....argh.
The math never lies, budget in INK!
Amount of Free items 2012 $391.33

Debt #2 12/31/12 CC $901.88
Debt #3 12/31/12 $3648.83
Madness, mayhem chaos...my work here is done!

I also sent an additional $100 on top of the usual $300 I send to the CC company.
my minimum is $90 but I pay $300. It was nice to be able to send the additional $100 just to know I knocked more off it--my balance is $2632.00. and I am looking at an August payoff @$300 a month.

That's still awesome that you managed to shave $25 off your monthly bills. I did the same thing with our cell phone bill. I took $7 off the bill and that's $7 I can put to good use elsewhere.
Any savings, to me, is better than no savings at all. You still did something beneficial.

Good job looking for every penny. I believe it is the little things that mean the most over time. The big stuff gets our attention and we scrutinize it closely. The little stuff seems like it does not matter until you think of it per month for ten, fifteen, twenty years or more. These are the changes that will make a huge difference in the long run.
