Question What will you pay full price for?

OK. I admit it, I scrimp and save everywhere I can, BUT when it comes to my coffee, I will buy the good stuff no matter what

    What is your "guilty pleasure?"

I try not to pay full price for ANY thing! There are certain items that I like a particular brand, but even then I use coupons, wait for on sale, etc.

I like Coffee-Mate liquid creamer (plain - no flavors). I tried the Kroger and WalMart brands and didn't like them. I DID however find that if I go to the coffee-mate website, I can get coupons when I need them and that brings the price of it down to the store brands.

Hubby and I visited three grocery salvage stores last Friday. They have Starbucks coffee about 2 or 3 dollars cheaper per bag - WOO HOO!

So even for my coffee and creamer I don't pay full price. This is where my stockpile comes in handy. When I find things on sale I stock up. Then I freeze it, dehydrate it, and/or vacuum seal it.

My running shoes, socks, undies and bras. Although 95% of the time, I'll buy them when they are on sale.

I won't put used parts in my vehicle. Too many years, digging thru scrap yards, busting my knuckles for parts only to have them go out 3 weeks later.

Everything else is negotiable, do without or until it's on sale.

Good quality chocolate or cheese. Shoes and jeans, though I prefer to buy them on sale sometimes it's hard to find a sale when the knees have blown out and I need a new pair.

Games and hobby items. Some of these shops run on such a thin profit margin they never have sales (I'm not talking about places like Joann's or Hobby Lobby) so I just suck it up because the alternative is often not having the hobby shop at all.

Shoes!! For years I wore cheap shoes and they would last a year sometimes only months. Now, for DD, DH and myself I buy quality. We all have knockaround shoes for lawn work and outside play.

I really love books and will pay full price for them but I use the library so much now that they have to be exceptional to buy. Other then that I have to really really really want it or absolutly need it.

Anything at the farmers market. I never try to bargain there, just doesn't seem right when they put so much work into their produce and products.

~Bob's Red Mill products, beer & wine, staples like eggs, milk, white flour and white sugar, cornmeal etc., heavy cream, egg roll wrappers, small tools, thread, rechargeable batteries, and like another poster said, GOOD CHOCOLATE! I love imported and hand dipped chocolate so once or twice a year I buy some full price. DH buys video games at full price.
Pretty much everything else is always on sale or bought at a discount online.~

Pampers diapers. In 8 years of kids in diapers, they are the only brand that have consistently worked for us. I do usually have a coupon, but even if I don't, I'll pay full price, rather than buy another brand.

    shoes
i will not buy cheap bras
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Like frugalwarrior, I can't think of a single thing.
If it's not a good deal, or on sale and hopefully with coupons, I just won't buy it. Of course, there are some things that never do go on sale, like milk, but other than that, I wait...and bide my time...and read the flyers...and check the prices...and when the time is right, there I am (possibly again and again)...with coupons.

Same here and it's already much cheaper than the stores, and fresh.
