Well I am glad for anything positive. We are in MIchigan and things are still really rough here. We are really grateful for my dh getting to get up and go to work everyday.

DH's work removed the overtime pay freeze a couple of month ago, which signaled to us that the global economy was definitely on the mend. I don't think some areas will improve as fast as others and in some cases, some jobs may be completely phased out all together. I think this is a perfect time for those employers who are looking to fill positions to start offering incentives for new trainees to take advantage of the jobs (ie: paid training, health benefits, etc.) as long as it doesn't buckle the company back onto the ground like it may have been before.

Some people will be fortunate and not have to adjust. Those who do have to adjust will hopefully do so in a manner that'll yield them bountiful results for the years to come.

I felt the tide turning before I heard this report. My area has been buzzing with activity, local shops getting face lifts, new stores going in, and last weekend and the previous weekend, the local mini mall (around 25 stores, restaurants, grocery, kmart, sears hardware, rite-aid, fashion bug, goodwill, dollar tree, GNC, organic cleaners, ect.) were packed. People were fighting to get the good parking spaces and were just buzzing around with their carts full, and their arms full of shopping bags. A different sight out here for sure. This area has been very depressed.

I'm looking forward to hearing that phone ring and hearing that the banks are releasing money and my husband's company is now able to bid on jobs again. It might not be for awhile, but I known it's going to happen. The tides are turning.
