forgot to mention that i have paid myself from the ebay business so another 60 added to the savings fund. I now have £170 from ebay in the last couple of weeks i got a big boost of sales last week so i reached my challenge of making 100 in the month of August.

275 is still in the joint account and i have to pay 57 next month for TV licence as the Direct debit didnt go out of the account correctly so i am paying 2 months at once. joy! can't wait until October 30th.

damn.. i have to write all this out again! stupid error page!

I checked an account that i havent looked at for a while and i knew that in Feb. the balance was atleast 100 but when i checked it had gone up to 224.97 and i am only saving into the account 10.00 a month - this includes the annual interest earned (39.97)

i was quite pleased with that, i will have to save more from now one and maybe next year me & DBF can go to Europe for a week on vacation - that is what the money is for that i am saving in that account.

    Its nice 'finding' money hehe.

im getting back on the saving path now. I put all my change in the bank - all 43.00 worth that went into my xmas savings account and i got some money from ebay (60.00) that went into the account too and...

... My christmas fund is fully funded! with 200.00 which is plenty for me. i will only use about half of that for gifts.

the washing machine situation is fixed, my Parents are buying it for us but i have to give them half for it - there half is an early xmas present. lol but atleast we have one now it only cost 169.99 and should last a lot longer than the last one.

savings is slowly drying up as it was DBF's 21st birthday yesterday and we went to the safari park and with buying petrol and wristbands for the rides we spent a bout 60.00 but they did give us a free entry ticket to use again - so we can go again before Nov 1st for free.

DBF parents took us out for dinner too which was nice of them

I'm so pleased and that you're sharing the ups and the downs of your journey with us. My husband thinks it's a bit weird, but when I read your posts I'm groaning out loud (when your washer dies) or cheering out loud (when you made money on E-bay).

I just wanted you to know that someone really is deeply interested and rooting for you!

thank you it does mean a lot somebody cares lately it feels like when i post anything it seems to get lost amonst other more important threads but i keep posting anyway.

The new washer came today and DBF has already put 3 loads in it *thud* but its evening and I am on a lower night water rate. I need to keep tabs on the water reading see how long it takes for the figure to rise then find ways to slow it down.

Good Luck, Bournecrazy! We are working hard on our debt total, which would give you a coronary. Like madhen, I use an Excel file and I can watch it come down every month. I didn't check my Excel file all of last year. When I did, I found I paid off a HUGE chunk of debt last year. This made both DH and I very very happy. Even if you make a list by hand, it is a great incentive. Take care.

not much going on lately, ive so far picked up 8 1/2 extra hours at work so at 5.75/ph thats an extra 48.00

October is the time to save it is a tripe pay month so when the bills go out in the first 2 weeks whatever money is left over is being saved - all of it. the next two weeks i will ave a little of it and the end of the month when we get paid again whatever is left will be saved again.

All money saved in Oct will go towards the car and one CC

The last 2 weeks of September and all thru Oct i will be trying to pick up extra hours or atleast not loose any. I would like to be able to pay the CC down and build the savings up.
