good for you Tony. I was following your other thread with interest. We sure have a lot of credit wise people here at FV!! Have you decided on your final plan to attack this debt?

Knowledge is power BigTony!!! Just laying it all out helps you to get your arms around it.
Do try to read that Dave Ramsey book, you can listen to him online, too, I think. Where do you live?? He does a great live seminar, one evening and very inspiring.
I hope that by 2014 (or sooner) you are where I am, debt-free. It's a great place, and just like heaven, those of us who are here want EVERYONE to join us.

You're on the right track, BigT!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I may be out of line for asking -- but what are the interest rates on these debts? Income? Budget? With some good planning and hard work, you may be able to get out of debt sooner.
All in all, good luck, and hope all goes well.
Just about every one of those companies that you listed I hate with a passion. Especially Chase.

Story of my life. In 2007 we had 78000 worth of debt, and we climbed out under it, on top of paying for a surgery with cash, bought a house, had a foundation shift and $11000 in repairs later we are good to go.. then I hear the words "I'm pregnant!"
