wow this july/august the money is rolling out and i have fallen off the wagon. using the dryer and dishwasher, A/C on 70-72, using the savings for "stepped on" eyeglasses (sinking funded), a broken cell phone replacement (not sinking funded), going out for food, ugh.

time to tighten up. ugh.

what gets me is i know better. cocky thinking i can live like normal people.

Ah...Evita. I spent two months playing piano/saxophone for a dinner theatre nightly. I know this show well! With a kid in college, we're feeling a bit like this right now with tuition, books, etc. August is a hard month for us.

should have used the word guaranteed instead of having.

i actually need to stop shaming myself and remember that sinking funds ebb and flow. i AM supposed to spend them, duh.

today i did well with the A/C, dryer and dishwasher

messed up with restaurant food.

Don't beat yourself up . . . just take a deep breath and keep moving forward. As Pianolady said, August is a tough month for a lot of us. Kids are going back to school, it's blazing hot, etc., and once in a while you've just got to order a pizza or go out for an ice cream cone! It can be tough to balance. Just keep on keepin' on . . . oh wait, I feel another song coming on!
