    Default Discover keeps calling

I swear every few months Discover calls and wants to know why we do not use their card... your interest rate it too high.... so they lower it just a tad or offer a 3 or 6 month low rate.. we buy one thing and pay it off that month .... then several months later they start calling. like they think they are generous for lowering it to 16.24 Yea right.

Why do I keep it? because it is the only card Sams takes besides the Walmart card that I do not want either.

Around a year ago I called and canceled my discover card. I didn't like the interest rate or the two-cycle billing. Since then they have sent me not one, but two new cards. On an account I closed! I've cut up the cards. They must be getting desperate.

Sam's Club has never refused my check or cash for a purchase, oddly enough..... You can also request Discover remove you from their calling list the next time they call you. I believe they have to comply with that request, or pay a fine (so keep the name and number of who calls and the date and time of the message when you requested removal).

I guess the good news is that people must be being responsible with their credit and that Discover is getting desperate.

Yep, Discover used to call me all the time for this or that and I had them remove me from their calling list.

True which is what we usually do actually we will probably cancel the membership this year We do not use it that much and spend too much when we do go. I could save that money

I'm getting these calls as well. I talked to someone on Saturday, then they called me again on Sunday! I told them I already talked to someone yesterday and to take me off their list. Those calls drive me nuts!

I was gonna say, last I checked, Sams takes cash.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I think Discover is feeling the economy. I have their card and use it due to the rewards.

They raised the amt. that you have to have b/4 U turn in the rewards. Used to be you could turn it in at $20........not you have to have $50.
