Thumbs up Let's all report on our good things lately...

    Here are mine....

*my budget billing on our natural gas went from $63/mo to $45/mo...

*my house payment went down $20 because my property taxes went down....

*waiting and hoping the electric budget will go down, my anniversary month is Sept.....

I know this isn't much, but I have to look at it as a blessing, because I now have a daughter with braces that was totally unexpected with a payment of $185 amonth, and I had surgery in June with a payment of $50/mo..... So I have to be thankful because even tho they are small amounts they will help with my new bills....

Hope some others are having something good happen.....

    Good Thread!!
    * my favorite book store "Half Price Books" is having a labor day 20% off everything in the store sale
*I am on the work schedule to work on the holiday which is time and a half pay (which equates to extra money which I can apply to my student loan)
*I thought my car was running hot. However when I checked the radiator fluid I found it to be very low. Yes I know that I need when it comes to car stuff. Anyway I filled it up and have not had any more problems with my car running hot. So no auto repair bill for me. YIPPEE!!
*The library stated that I had a book out which I was just sure I had already returned. Well, the library found it!!! I was so happy not to have to pay for the book.
That is all I can think of off the top of my head!

~Last week we replaced our 11 year old tiny fridge with a new, large one with a bottom freezer. I love it! It looks great in my 50's kitchen and it's made meal preparation more enjoyable! Also can't wait to see how much electricity we've saved on the next bill.
~Went to my grandfather's 80th birthday party yesterday. I'm not close with my family but I had a really nice time!
~After a month of shopping online for quilt batting it finally went on sale. I saved $7 which I used to buy photo corners, quilting thread and another batting.
~I feel prepared and peaceful for homeschooling. Our first day is August 31.
~Because of new rules at DH's work about using vacation time, he now has 3 day weekends until October.

Okay. This isn't FV related, but:

--In the 2 or 3 months between my visits to my main doc, I'm down 6 pounds.
--I said just the right thing on twitter for someone who needed it at the right time.

That's all I can think of for now.

Found my fruit leather trays and jerky gun on ebay for over $20 savings. And that was just the price......no sales tax either.

Used my LL Bean credit card (free shipping) and coupon from LL and got a french terry pair of pants for $2.99. They issued another coupon on the spot.

Met a gardening buddy that lives close and have hit a GOLD MINE. I give her lemon cukes (she grew another kind)......she makes pickles and gives me back one or two jars of pickles. So far.....a quart of dills......and just a pint of bread and butter (not real keen on them!) Plus she gave me some free patty pan squash which I have never tried. And got some free dill from her so I could make some pepper dill vinegar. We have traded other things....gardening...too.....great fun! Am giving her a bunch of plants when it cools off and they can be transplanted.

--We replaced our old roof with a brand new one and it cost us less than
    I thought it would.
--I will be getting some overtime from working last weekend and can apply

    Hi,

I'm not sure if you are interested but I go to a website addall.com and they give you prices of several different sites and how much the book is new and used.

    Our bills are paid..

My Dh is getting lots of overtime in for this month..more $$$ in the savings account.

We (Dh & I ) have a new pillowtop bed being delivered sometime this week.. long story..

I planted my first pumpkin patch in May .... I'm so excited to actually see pumpkins the size of cantalopes..Yay..I won't have to buy any this year..

I also planted Raspberry bushes this year and there must be at least 500 berries or more on the 2 bushes..

I made my first loaf of homemade bread in my Breadmaker (I was completely out )..I didn't need to waste gas to run to the store to buy a loaf..

I made my first batch of homemade Maple Syrup ( again I was completely out) can I say it's better then Mrs Butterworth...~~YummY~~

I made a whole container of homemade Taco seasoning...

I just took a homemade Key lime pie out of the oven...that will be tomorrows dessert..

I just saved myself $$$$$$ by making all the this food from scratch rather than buying it from the store..

I feel very content and happy with myself right now...
