Our big milestone
When hubby and I got married 3 years ago we came into our marriage with a whole lot of debt. We got married in vegas and put everything on a credit card. Between the two of us we had about 17000 in credit card debt. Between the two of us we were making about 55000 a year so we weren't to worried about it and knew it would eventually get paid off. Then I found out I was pregnant. I wanted to be a SAHM so we started banking my pay and using his to live off of from then on. Unfortunately at the time my husband was a cook and made about 26000 a year. We got through the pregnancy and I quit my job and he became a Loan Rep which is a little better money. With hubby's two jobs we make about 38000 a year now and even on that little we paid off our credit card debt. Today I just sent in the last payment we no longer have any credit card debt. Yay! Next we will tackle my student loans which should be done in a year and a half. I just wanted to let everybody know that it can be done even at those times you think it is impossible. There were times that after paying bills and health insurance we had trouble buying food but we got through those times and we made it to this moment. I am so happy and I can't wait until there is no debt what so ever.
