We went with the $40 faucet. It has been working for several years with heavy use as we only have one bathroom and are a 5 person household, two with OCD handwashing issues.
I would look at the thrift shops and the habitat or construction recycling stores in your area. I bet you can get one cheaper used.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

Thank you GrainLady. Wonderful advice. I need to get that EF going. I have a very small leak. So I am cutting off the water and just cutting it on when we use the sink. No problem there. In fact, this teaches me about sacrifice.
Rcannon.........thank you. You are right. I need to think about this. The newer faucet would have made it easier when washing pots. But.......not necessary.
I think the same exact faucet (Moen) at Lowe's is around $37. And I have learned the Moen has a lifetime warranty. Now, I am going to call them and find out what. I bought new a new gasket for it a couple of months ago and it appears to be the same problem. The gasket was 0.88 cents.Step 1 $207/1500
Step 2 Student loan $160.00 monthly
Schewels paid
Step 3 $252/$15000
Step 4
Step 5 1 child in college graduates 12/12
2 child $50.00
Step 6 $70,761/$93,000
Step 7 Build wealth & give.

Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Murphy is life.
happens to everyone.
do not skimp on a fix that is needed. check the repair needed from the "smallest" washer to the replacement faucet.
waste of water is huge if being paid for...or waste of well water is just a conservation waste anyway.
murph's law visits us all..LOL
