About to slay the beast...
A year ago I had my biggest CC debt $12485.34. With next paycheck that balance will be down to $752.47. So close. So damn close.
We started hacking away at the balance in August. Balance was around $11400. We have been putting a minimum of $2100/month toward debt on a $4000/month net income.
And I know for the next two weeks before the next paycheck that small balance is going to bug the crap out of me.
But after that's paid, I will zero in on our last credit card debt.
Credit card debt free for 2010
When we started it was overwhelming to tackle this debt -- the largest one.
It truly has been a beast.
And it will be slain.

Story of my life. In 2007 we had 78000 worth of debt, and we climbed out under it, on top of paying for a surgery with cash, bought a house, had a foundation shift and $11000 in repairs later we are good to go.. then I hear the words "I'm pregnant!"

That is AWESOME Preston! Way to kick arse!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Just think, today I've read that 3 people have paid off a credit card and stopped putting money in the CEO's pockets and started keeping it their own. Maybe pretty soon The CEO's won't be taking long fancy vacations and getting millions in bonuses every year. One can only hope .... and I hope it starts with Bank of Hell
