    Default Major Debt Payoff!

    Hi,
How is everyone doing on their debt reduction? I am ecstatic to say that on January 1, 2003 I will debt free (except for student loan) I will have succeeded in paying off over $10 000 in debt in 4 years. In January I will be paying off my credit line (which was used to pay off my car) to the tune of $6000. I received some money from my 401K when I moved from the U.S and didn't have enough to roll over...with the exchange rate...BINGO! The next step is to SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!!! Tell me how you are doing and celebrate with me!!!!

We will be debt free in February/ March of 2003. My dh has decided to take a $30K lump sum payment from the military. It will affect his retirement pay by about a $100 a month but that's ok cause by getting out of debt we will be saving thousands in finance charges. So after being in debt for 12 years we will finally be free. It has been a big curse. I can just cry thinking about it.

Way to go Babynurse! I can't say the same here. We still have some debt to pay off! I did manage to pay off some medical bills and all CC's are paid off. I still owe for 2 vehicles...ugh!! I have begun to double up on my car and should have it paid off in 6 months. Then I will put that into DH's truck payment. I want to be debt free!!! DH wants to trade the car in for another one, but I don't! I don't care if it isn't a 2003! I like mine because it will really be mine soon!!

That is wonderful! I can't wait to be able to say that. We are quite a ways away but are going to be hard at work on it this year.

Wow way to go .. We are trying to save up and then pay more money than it is required on a minmal payment.
We also try to make an extra payment a month on our bills if we can that way We will be hopefully out of debt a whole lot sooner.
