Default A new year, a new budget

Well it is that time a year campers. Time to see what we got done, see where we totally blew it and come up with 2010s plan.

I looked at the numbers and decided we need $4200 a month bring home to get it all done. Blah!

On the lighter side the car will pay off this year and that will be great to be done with. This will be the first car we paid off completely and didn't trade in before it was paid and be on the wrong side of the note. Yeah us!

I learned the stockpile was a huge money saver and worth it and once we move to a new home I will jump back into it.

I learned that going without enough personal allowance is just dumb. Give yourself what you need in the budget and avoid unpleasant surprises later.

I hope everyone has got their new plans tweaked and are ready for another debt busting money saving year.

New year, new beginnings! This time of year is a great time for reflection over the past...helps us to know what to do or what not to do later!

Our budget isn't a problem, our problem is others wanting to borrow our excess...or what they see as our excess. Luckily, for me I've gotten better at saying "NO" and sticking to it...but, there are still those times when a "yes" is necessary.

Here is to a new year and a new beginning!

I looked at cash flow and set a seriously high retirement savings goal. I'm waiting though to see what the changes in taxes will do to my take home - I won't see a check until the end of January. (Yes, I could figure it out, but I'm too lazy.)

Around October or so last year I pushed the payroll deduction for retirement as high as I dared. I may have to tweak it, but I'm hoping I'll be able to let it ride.

Other than that, just rocking along, hoping there are no unpleasant and expensive surprises during the year.

Yes I won't know about the taxes change until the 15th when we get our first salary check of the new year. So far we have only gotten the 1st commission check and it always fluctuates.

sigh sigh sigh. The bills, they NEVER stop!
