taxes cross your fingers

Here's hoping I do not owe anything but a refund would be great to stick it right on the debt. My appt is tomorrow.

I know I will get a state refund but who knows how long that will take to get back

I need to keep tighter watch on my selfemployment income and expenses so taxes are covered. and not over withheld from dh check.

yes I could do estimated taxes but I tend to put things off.

I'm in a tax funk right now. I filed mine, sure I had everything, and then a day or so ago, I get a 1099 I forgot all about. Interest - a whole $11.70. Grrrr. My fault. But I'll have to file an amended return, a real hassle and it won't change anything.

What really alarms me about this however is that last year I had to file an amended return too - not my fault that time. But that's twice I will have called the attention of the IRS to me. I've nothing to hide, but still. It's better to stay under their radar.

I have been audited three times. I'm not even 30. The audits are not as hellish as you'd think they are, pending you have adequate records. Just double check your math, and hopefully nothing will come your way.
