There goes the big one
We did it!!!!! We finally paid off our huge credit card. Tax return came in and Chase is GONE!!!!!. We still have our Sears credit card to pay off, but there is no interest/ no payments until September 2010. We are going to put the old payment from Chase towards Sears. Sears will be gone by April.
I'm so excited.... I could just burst.~~~Lisa~~~

You are a ROLE MODEL for us all

My problem is: I can't get it out of my head that tax-refunds are like "reward money"...One of these years I WILL put it to GOOD use, though! Not just frivolous shopping or mini-vacations.

WOW....fantastic job! Way to go!!

How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

Going to keep the Chase card for now, until the Sears CC is paid off. Then we'll cancel it.
We have become very disciplined in our spending. We paid off another big CC about 1.5 years ago and didn't use it at all for about 5 months so the CC company closed the account. No biggie to us. We don't want them anyways.
We would have had this CC paid off last year, but hubby got notice that his job was closing the very same day that I was to pay off Chase. Glad I waited. We used the tax refund to carry us over until he found work.~~~Lisa~~~
