    12 yo dd and birthday $$$

    My 12 yo dd got $$ for her birthday. She made me so proud today as she chose to open an account at the credit union to save up for something she desires. She said, "i will save my $$ until i can buy it in cash."
    I am so happy that she isn't thinking about credit or adding debt. I am so glad she didn't try to just spend the money on something wasteful.
