spring cleaning...bills

We have Verizon DSL and it has been quite slow for the last 2 or 3 months off and on depending on the time of day and we have a new computer. Last month DH called tech support and learned we have slower upload and slower download speed than the lowest package they have. ViOs is not available in our area. Today DH called again and spoke to CS and explained the situation. In the end they are lowering our bill from $35 a month to $14.99, and they are running a 24 hour test on our computer to see why it is bogging down so much. So my real point is don't forget to call those utility companies and nickel and dime them to get those bills lowered. Next month we have a cell phone that will be a goner and will lower that bill by $10.

We had issues with upload/download speed being slower than it should have been. It kept disconnecting us. The guys from the cable company came in and put in a signal booster (it connects to your cable line) and has a feed out of the bottom. We hooked up a splitter to the bottom feed and use the splitter for both the TV and the cable. That fixed our speed issues with the cable.

We're still going through bills and figuring out what we do and do not need. We adjusted them accordingly. We also went ahead and set up a direct deposit for the loan payback to our inlaws. Every two weeks, $200 will go to an account that's shared with DH and FIL.

We decided to go back to paying more on debt and paying at least a month ahead on bills, as well.

Our land line was out for a day and night. I called At&T. They said they was working on our neighborhood for the universal package. Great.

I knew right there I should have asked the dude and get more information on our bill....but I was not wearing a bra. Ugh. Hands crossed and said thank you and he was cute!

Just give me a little warning when you are going to knock on my door..please.
