    Arrow Book Recommendations

I love reading books about being frugal, ideas to save money, cooking cheap ideas etc - they keep me motivated. I often see books listed in posts, but then forget where I saw them etc. I was wondering if I could get some recommendations about various books - all in one thread here.

I personally would recommend The Tightwad Gazette, because it gets you in the right frame of mind and makes you realize that it can be done on very little therefore leaving more money for savings / debt.

So what would your recommendations be? (include the author if possible so we can find them)

Here are a couple more I don't see listed already (these are more personal finance books than frugal tips, but motivating nonetheless):

The New Frugality: How to Consume Less, Save More, and Live Better by Chris Farrell

Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money-That the Poor and the Middle Class Do Not! by Robert T. Kiyosaki

    Default books I would recommend

You can google these authors. They all have good books

Cynthia Yates. She retired about two years ago, so check the library or try online if you want to buy them.

Elly Kay is also a good author.

    Pat Edwards writes good books.

Dining on a Dime and Dig Out of Debt both my Kellam pulishing company or try Tawra Kellam and Jill Cooper.

    I hope that helps.

    Elizabeth Warren "All Your Worth"

JD Roth "Your money, the missing manual" just released and i've been reading it. It's pretty good.

Debt Proof living - Mary Hunt

"It doesn't matter how hard you hit, it's how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done." - Rocky Balboa

Story of my life. In 2007 we had 78000 worth of debt, and we climbed out under it, on top of paying for a surgery with cash, bought a house, had a foundation shift and $11000 in repairs later we are good to go.. then I hear the words "I'm pregnant!"
