Other than cutting expenses, max out your work benefits. If work provides your dental insurance and you need a cleaning - do it now. Drain your FSA sooner than later. I've worked a few places that would have a fitness re-imbursement that I usually waited until the end of the year to claim - do that now. Last time I knew about a layout my employer offered matching gifts on charitable contributions, so I made my yearly charity offerings as soon as it was announced. Whatever benefits you have - you know your employer best.
