    Default capital one #@%##

    I did not listen I made a payment to Capital one online..... the 29th for $100 and they took out the total statement...

    Bank is doing a stop payment but we have no debit card until tuesday now...


    OK Greebo you told me so.... and it was not even a hurry it was an extra payment..... bad thing is the Chase payment will likely bounce also

    Ugh, that sucks!!

    If it makes you feel any better, I accidently paid a bill twice this month. I was changing over from "autowithdrawl" type to paying it with Bill Pay and didn't get the automatic one stopped soon enough. whoops!

    So I have "no cell phone bill" for two months. But I really do have the bill, I have to pay the overdraft it went to. GRRRR.

    Hang it there, it happens to others as well.

    Well... look at the bright side... the card's paid off?
    If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

    Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

    Ugh, I'm sorry. Hope you can get it all straightened out.

    Whenever I think of that credit card I always think of the barbarians from their commercial coming to get me because I have the credit card, not because I don't. :crazy:

    I have a Capital One card I use for reservations & online purchases. I have never had any issues with them and I pay mine online. Did you forget to click on which payment option you wanted? They have you verify payment info 2x, so I guess I don't understand how this could be their fault.

    I know it sound weird I did click the dot for the other I entered 100 and I looked at the confirmation before agreeing

    But I did not print the confirmation page and I did not open and read the confirmation email.... somehow the computer mixed it up and I did not catch it.

    But all is well

    Bank stopped payment and sent the small stuff through first so no bank charges not even on the stop payment.

    Capital one has no idea whose mistake but no charges there either

    We had a no spend weekend exxxcept for gas the bank told me to go cash for cash the check I was paid from their bank.

    I will still be an online payer but I will read emails and print confirmations and pay through the bank not cc company... soon it will be gone so that will not be a problem.

    I'm glad to hear you got this straightened out! I feel your pain! Recently, I too made a mistake of not reading my online bill pay messages. I had entered a payment for our cable company. A week later, I was checking something else and saw no scheduled cable payment. I had missed a note that said I needed to update their address/account information. Almost missed a payment becasue I didn't read the message (which usually is a sweepstakes thing).
