Question Do you have life insurance and do you feel

Its worth having?

Dh can't get it because of skin cancer and I don't have any. I never have had any. Dh use to have it through his place of employment and didn't have to pay anything.

Is it worth having? - Don't have an answer on that one!

For us, yes, dh has a large policy through work he pays part of, he also insures the kids and me for lesser amounts. I think the kids just equal a burial amount.
Is it worth it?
Yes the security I have knowing if something happened to him my home would get paid off allowing me to live here is worth it.

I don't have it. i have thought about it so that the children would be taken care of if something happened to me. But i can't decide if i where i want to be buried, so i am playing dumb and thinking if i don't get it then i am not going to die anytime soon. Sad hu. helps me cope i think.

Yes, we have it on all 5 of us. You may think it is silly to have it on children, but you never know when an accident will occur. My cousin's son was shot and killed last year by a friend. It was an accident. The boy's had taken out the gun to look at it and it went off striking my cousin, who was 12, in the right eye. He died instantly. So, to me, knowing that I will never have to worry about that is peace of mind.

Yes, we have it.
We acutally have our own plus dh has some through work.

Yes, I feel it is worth it, my Uncle died a few years back and did not have insurance and I watched his children struggle to pay for the burial costs.

Just knowing that if something happened to dh I would not have to worry about money problems for awhile is worth it to me

We have it for DH and me. I feel it's worth it so that our kids would have to live in dire poverty if anything happened to either of us. Yes, we would be receiving social security for the kids, but this would make it so either of us could pay to have a decent roof over our heads (as we do now) and cover extras such as braces, college, home repairs (for me) child care (for dH), etc.

Although it is only dh and myself, yes we both have coverage. Our home would be paid for the other if anything happened to either one of us. we plan on getting more for dh in about a month when he retires. This will cover any lost income for me, should anything happen to him.

Yes, CJ, we feel it is very worth it.

Yes we have it, 2 policies on dh and 1 on me.
It gives us peace of mind and I know he can bury me or I can bury him and still live, also to take the time to try to heal with out being worried about a roof over out heads.
15 mos ago dh's sis died suddenly and her hubby couldn't even bury her!! the other family members did that.

I will admit it can get costly for a policy especially if not offered thru the job, but yes its well worth it.

we are all covered through policies through dh's work as well. dks are covered enough to pay for burial costs. should some accident happen, we don't want to have to worry how to pay for a funeral on top of all the grief. one less thing to agonize over. dh is covered for more than me since he is the breadwinner. but there is enough on both of us that should something happen, there is money left after a funeral to help out with expenses for thefirst few months.

Yes we have it for our whole family. Our insurance puts it on the kids for no extra charge since we have it on both of us. I feel it is peace of mind because you never know. My husband drives a train and there are several deaths out there a year from pure accidents. It is worth it. Amy
