    Yeah.

I also have to 2nd the "saving is for older people".

Thought of another... that if you were "poor" or didn't make a lot, some debts didn't apply to you. Afterall, how could they expect you to give them $1,000 to pay for XXX when that's 1/2 of your monthly income!? Haha... boy, was I ever wrong. (As my car sits in the shop, getting $800 worth of work done to it.)

I believed it was okay to buy things with credit or loans. I feel like I had *SUCKER* printed on my forehead. It never occurred to me that if you could not afford it out right in cash, then you could not afford it. We never should have mortgaged a house, or got a loan for a car. My Grandparents saved for 17 years to buy a house, 17 years! But when they moved in it was ALL THEIRS! Wish I never would have listened to what the world was selling.

The rules are the starting point.

The rules are only to stop you from violating someone else's right to play the game too.

The rules are not there to save you from yourself.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I thought there was only cash - thats all I ever knew growing up. Then one day, I went to university where the piranha's preyed on us young and unknowing.

Credit card companies should not be allowed to set up a booth at the local universities/colleges and prey on people.

Wow if I could go back in time knowing what I know now
