Like others said cut everything that is not essential: no cable tv, unplug all unnecessary appliances, sell as much stuff as possible, RETURN any recent purchases that can be returned for a refund, stop retirement contributions.

Pick up as many money making jobs as you can- lawn mowing, babysitting, temp work etc.

prioritize bills- mortgage, food, gas, electric - meet your basic needs.

No more luxuries- eating out, clothes shopping, starbucks etc

you CAN do this. It isn't easy but it is POSSIBLE!

Have you read "The Total Money Makeover", by Dave Ramsey?
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

If you start planning your food menus from the grocery store sale ads. Eat More vegetarian meals, eat in season food, avoid prepared stuff. Aldi's is the lowest price food source in my area. Switch to generics for everything you can possibly tolerate. Try to find coupons for the brand name items you must have. Give Dollar Tree a try for everything. Don't eat out. Work out of your hobby stash for crafters. Readers use the library. Check out movies from the library or $1 Redbox for a splurge. Concerts in the park, free museum day, ride the bike path, picnic in the park, art gallery browse for entertainment. Pay at the pump at the gas stations and don't go in. Junk food is generic, rationed and never purchased at the gas station. For the $1.60 for 1 soda, you can have 10 cans of generic from Aldi's. For the cost of one candy bar at the gas station, you can have a whole package of chocolate from the Dollar Store (surprisingly good btw). No more starbucks or coffee runs from anywhere else.

See how things go with these suggestions. Write down everything you spend...everything. If you can't find extra to put towards the bills, then begin to save -- you need a second job temporarily.

Unless someone is on their deathbed or in serious need of your support for some reason, I would suggest having the money to back any of your vacations. You got a feel for the life of a 'payday loan' user, I don't think you will consider that again.

First and last post 8/11...did she disappear?
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
