You guys can do it. He will start making consistant pay checks and all will be better if you get serious.
Ha! I thought the same thing! And I'm "whewing" with ya!

But An, you can do this. Just get your minds set for a change, stay open about it to eachother, and remind yourselves EVERYDAY why you HAVE to do it! Five months is a decent amount of time to pull off your plan!

Hoping the best for you guys. Remember to keep us posted. Maybe post regularly on how you's are doing, and we'll be able to support your plan with you. Also, it makes for some accountability too.

    Hugs sweetie!

Is there anything you have to cancel several months in advance? Like cable tv or internet connection?

Is it an option to buy a pass to the tollway to get across more cheaply? If there is, do the math carefully to know if it's worth it.

    Good luck!

You've already passed the first step- deciding it needs to be done! As you work on financial goals, in the future, part of your motivation can be to NEVER find yourself in this situation, again1 Good luck, keep it going!

Good luck-you can and will do this. Actually, it sounds to me like you have already had your "aha" moment. Just need to push on from there!

Thanks all, and yes I am still babysitting right now, but if we move I have to find another job so I am searching for that now. And nope, I cannot cancel anything (like cable) til we move because we are in contract. Canceling cable can be done when we move though
