Do you or have you ever tracked your spending habits
We did this for 3 months back about 6 years ago and were amazed at what we bought and didn't really need, especially when it came to groceries.
How about you?52 week money challenge - $41.00

Yes, a couple years ago. I agree with Carolyn, it was scary. And what an eye opener:surprise:

I've never done this but I might just try it. we are pretty careful about what we spend now, but I'm sure a few less unnecessary items could be cut from our spending.. I just might have to try this.

It's what we mostly use Microsoft Money for. We see where every cent goes. We started when I was pregnant with dd because we knew I'd be out on maternity leave for 6 months and we needed to know where we could cut back. Awareness is a beautiful thing!

We do- we keep track in Quicken. When we first started it, it was shocking! I was amazed at how much we spent at the gas station on soda and snacks, magazines we'd pick up at the grocery check out lane, and so on.
Now we track it, and know when we're going overboard in any area.
